CAIR pressures New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg to make changes to the academic calendar of New York schools. In a report by the Iranian state-owned channel Press TV, CAIR claims that Muslims struggle between their faith and education as the academic calendar conflicts with Muslim holidays. This is seen as an act of discrimination which is why Bloomberg should accommodate the calendar for Muslim students.
