Date: November 14, 2010

Description:

On November 9, a woman wearing a head scarf was refused to be served in a Fredericksberg, VA Fas Mart because of the store’s headgear policy. She contacted CAIR after which CAIR pressured the store to investigate the matter, take actions against the clerk, and offer an apology. This led Fas Mart to revise its headgear policy, suspend the clerk, and  ask CAIR to advise its personnel about sensitivity issues dealing with the Islamic community.
