A religious Muslim intern at Disneyland wore a head scarf in violation of Disney’s uniform guidelines. Disney asked her to take a different position with less guest interaction, but she was not satisfied. After CAIR-LA intervened in the case, Disney changed its uniform guidelines. CAIR-LA Executive Director Hussam Ayloush urges “Disney to institutionalize a process for Muslim women […] to be accommodated in these front-stage positions in a timely and good faith manner”.
