After Illinois Gov. Quinn announced that he is against building a mosque next to Ground Zero, Christina Abraham of CAIR commented in an interview that “the 400,000 Muslims in the Chicagoan are know about that issue, they are concerned about that issue. And it will affect how they will make their decision come election time. We were definitely stunned,” CAIR’s Executive Director Ahmed Rehab remarked. “When I read this for the first time, I was like ‘What? Did I read what I just read?’ ”
