Sue Myrick and ACT for America"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Political Influence Operation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Date:<\/strong> April 2010<\/p>\n<p><strong>Description:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On April 5 CAIR issued a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.prnewswire.com\/news-releases\/cair-asks-gop-nc-rep-myrick-to-repudiate-quran-desecration-89924712.html\" target=\"_blank\">press release<\/a> urging GOP leaders to \u201cinsist\u201d that Congresswoman  Sue Myrick (R-NC) withdraw support from the non-profit grassroots  advocacy organization ACT! for America.\u00a0 CAIR referred to ACT! for  America, the largest national security citizens organization in the United States, as an  \u201canti-Islam hate group.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On April 13 CAIR-Tampa echoed the CAIR national office message\u00a0 with <a href=\"http:\/\/campaign.constantcontact.com\/render?v=001907B4yRClb-SzXHcI4CcQgPbH2z54HIIzKustHM9VLr5kNTsqRWkh4gykI3WMDEKDWR-WCTJNvoM1TXdo3TgZ6ypmFSlei_Vqm8goB0z1IPU7n3rzZGtyw%3D%3D\">this  action alert<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gopetition.com\/online\/35421.html\">directed readers to a  petition<\/a> calling for 5,000 signatures condemning the GOP and Myrick  for associating with ACT! for America.\u00a0 CAIR enlisted  Reverend Wilifred Allen-Faiella of St. Stephen\u2019s Episcopal Church in  Coconut Grove, FL to provide &#8220;interfaith&#8221; credibility for their attack.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Actions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>On April 15 the Center for Security Policy sent a <a href=\"https:\/\/cairunmasked.org\/?p=3282\">letter<\/a> to Rev.
